SolidWorks is now available to all MIT faculty, staff, and students for academic and research purposes at no cost. SolidWorks runs on Windows.

Included with SolidWorks are the following add-ons:

·      Simulation Premium
·      Flow Simulation
·      Plastics Simulation
·      Electrical Professional
·      SolidWorks Composer
 
How to Obtain
Faculty, staff and students can choose the version that is appropriate for them from the SolidWorks page, http://ist.mit.edu/solidworks, or by browsing the software grid.
 
The license is limited to academic and research purposes. Students, faculty, and staff may install on personally owned machines.
